Admiral Driving School’s 3 Hour Drug & Alcohol Class

The 3-Hour Drug & Alcohol Class

Individuals who hold an out-of-country license are required to successfully complete a vision screening, knowledge test, driving skills test, and an MVA approved three-hour alcohol and drug education program in order to convert their license to a Maryland license. If the out-of-country license is not in English, it must be accompanied by an International License, or a translation into English by an MVA approved translator.

We also offer translators and translation services.

Once you have completed the program, you will be awarded the Alcohol and Drug Education Certificate valid for 12 months from the date of completion.

We offer the three-hour alcohol and drug education program on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 11:30am and 2:30pm.

The class teaches participants about US driving laws and safe driving behaviors. Course participants will also be made aware of the causes and consequences of impaired driving. The instructor will review Maryland laws regarding impaired driving, especially those related to Driving While Impaired (DWI) and Driving Under the Influence (DUI).

Students will need to bring the following materials with them:

  • A document that proves age and identity
  • Out-of-country license
  • Payment of $80.00 — This is a cash-only course. This includes online courses as well.

Once you have completed this 3-hour program, you will be awarded the Alcohol and Drug Education Certificate. This certificate is valid for one year from the date of issue.

We reserve the right to cancel a class in the event that there are less than three participants signed up for a class. We will notify you if the class is canceled and advise you of alternate dates and times to take the class.
